The BBC School Report celebrated its 10th
anniversary and Glenthorne High School was again fully involved in the
proceedings.
All Year 8 students got a flavour of the day through their English lessons, working on condensing news stories to create headlines and then recording their own news introductions.
A smaller number of students were off timetable all day to put together a video report. The story this year was about the new hub being built in the school and the question of whether a new library is necessary in the digital age.
The video report is the best ever produced by the school,
showing a good understanding of the conventions but also a high level of
creativity.
